Data protection

Privacy Notice

A plain-English summary of how we handle the personal data you give us through this site. It covers what matters at the point you get in touch — the full, legally binding policy is published in Spanish.

Who is responsible for your data

Memory Pulse, S.L. (trading as Cautio Legal), Tax ID B21781067, Calle Don Bernardino Correa Viera, 1A, 1ª planta, 35002 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. Contact: contacto@cautiolegal.com.

What we collect, and why

Through our contact form: your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), the area of your enquiry, and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to you and, if you ask us to, to take the steps needed before agreeing to represent you. The legal basis is your consent, and — where you're asking us to prepare a proposal for representation — the steps necessary at your request before entering into a contract.

We do not ask you to include special categories of data (health, ideology, sexual orientation, criminal record information) in this first message. If your matter requires it, we'll collect that separately, through a secure channel, with the appropriate legal basis.

How long we keep it

Up to 12 months from your last contact with us, if no engagement follows. If you become a client, for the duration of that engagement plus the statutory retention periods that apply under Spanish law (generally a minimum of 6 years for accounting/tax records).

Who else sees it

We don't sell or share your data with third parties, except where the law requires it. Our hosting and email provider (based in the European Union) processes it on our behalf, under a data processing agreement. Google only receives anonymous, aggregated browsing data, and only if you accept analytics cookies — never the content of your enquiry.

Professional secrecy

Independently of data protection law, everything you tell us is also protected by the duty of professional secrecy that governs the legal profession in Spain, which has no time limit and does not end when a matter is closed.

Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, for access to your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, for a copy in a portable format, or to withdraw your consent. Write to contacto@cautiolegal.com stating which right you want to exercise, with a document proving your identity. We'll respond within one month. If you believe we haven't handled your data correctly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

The full policy
