Cookie Policy
What categories exist, what they're for, how long they last, and how to manage your choice.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser to remember information about your visit. Equivalent technologies — local storage, tracking pixels, device fingerprinting — are subject to the same legal regime under article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI-CE.
2. Nothing is installed without your permission
On your first visit you'll see a notice with three options: accept all, reject all, or manage preferences to configure each category separately. Rejecting takes exactly one click, the same as accepting.
Until you choose, no cookie that isn't strictly necessary is installed. Our tag manager and Google Analytics load with storage denied: they may record a visit in aggregate, but they don't write or read any cookie or identifier, so it isn't possible to recognise or track you across pages or visits. The map doesn't exist on the page until you allow it.
Only once you accept audience measurement are the _ga cookies installed. If you
later withdraw consent, they're deleted automatically.
The same applies to advertising, even more strictly: the Meta pixel
(Facebook and Instagram) does not load at all until you enable that category,
so your browser doesn't even contact Meta. Accepting it installs _fbp and
_fbc, which are also deleted automatically if you withdraw consent.
You can change your mind at any time from the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. Withdrawing consent is exactly as easy as giving it.
3. What cookies exist, and what for
Strictly necessary
Always installed, because without them the site can't remember your choice. They don't require consent under article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Expiry |

cautio_consent | Cautio Legal (own) | Stores which categories you've accepted or rejected, so you're not asked again on every page. | 6 months |
Audience measurement — requires your consent
We use Google Analytics 4 to know which pages are visited, from what kind of device, and how often. Data is processed in aggregate: we don't use it to identify you or show you advertising. The IP address is processed anonymised.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Ireland Limited | Distinguishes visitors anonymously | 2 years |
_ga_<id> | Google Ireland Limited | Keeps track of session state | 2 years |
Google acts as a data processor and may process data outside the European Economic Area. See the details in our privacy notice and in Google's privacy policy.
Office map — requires your consent
The contact page can show the firm's location via Google Maps. Until you
allow it, you'll see a static marker and your browser won't make any request to Google; you
can also open the map directly in a new tab without activating anything. If you enable it,
Google may install its own cookies (NID and similar) to remember your map
preferences.
4. The rest of the site loads nothing external
Outside the tag manager and the services above, all resources — stylesheets, fonts, images, scripts — are served from our own domain. In particular, the EB Garamond and IBM Plex typefaces are hosted on our own server and are not loaded from external services.
We don't include social media buttons, external videos, or advertising pixels.
5. Server logs
Our hosting provider generates technical access logs that may include the IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, and the user agent. These logs are not cookies: they aren't stored on your device. They're processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in system security and are kept for a maximum of 30 days.
6. Contact forms
Our forms don't use cookies or local storage. They include anti-spam measures that don't require identifying or tracking the user. Any data you enter is processed in accordance with our privacy notice.
7. Managing cookies in your browser
Besides this site's preferences panel, you can configure cookie handling for any website from your browser's own settings:
Note that fully blocking cookies in your browser will prevent it from remembering your choice, so the notice would appear again on every visit.
8. Changes to this policy
If we add new services that install cookies, we'll update this policy and add the corresponding category to the consent panel before activating them.
